The Dreamtime Project "Fashionably Empowered Program" is a 8 week transformation journey, dedicated to empowering young women and girls.
Your Journey Begins With You.
Fashion is the vehicle we use for engagement to build confidence, self-esteem and life skills. It is one of the most effective ways to engage young women economically and socially.
"Fashionably Empowered" is the foundation to all our programs. It draws it's strength from working a grass roots community level, encouraging and inspiring participants to know who they are, know their strengths, practice mindfulness and to recognise the opportunities available to them.
The program has a strong emphasis on wellness, education, cultural connection and spirituality. The workshops are informed sessions to foster personal development and growth, that plays an important role in the development of overall personalities in the young women, and equips them with the transferable life skills that are valued in a variety of situations.
The minimum age is 8 years old through to 28 years of age.
Workshops are facilitated at Kurongkurl Katitjin Gallery at Edith Cowan University, Mt Lawley.
During the course of the 8 weeks, a solid foundation will be prepared that will enhance self-esteem, confidence, empowerment and resilience, which prepares our young women to engage in higher learning, training and employment.
Participants are taken on a journey of self-discovery through strategically designed modules to become aware of one's own true potential such as:
- Interpersonal skills
- Culture awareness
- Public speaking
- Problem solving skills
- Personality types
and much more!
